DebConf13 team coordination BoF ** Definitions ** "Local team": people working on local issues, typically in local region "Global team": everyone, including local team ** Introduction ** done already ** Expectations ** How DebConf works <------------------------------------------------------ DebConf manual <------------------- ** Communication / Meetings ** - Face to face -- requires train travel etc., so not practical for all meetings! and can create fractured communications - Gunnar: up to you if you want to have local meetings - IRC -- "standard" Debian meeting method - very low bandwidth communication (but high compared to mail, and allows people to attend) - timezone issues (but people do go) - in the first half of the cycle mostly monthly meetings - List (merge? when?) - hard to reach consensus on list - Sprints - meet in "Le Camp" about 5 months before DebConf ** Money handling ** - Budget discussed on -team (CC -project), formally approved by the DPL, afterwards the team can spend that money - Individual teams have discretion within their team budget, we assume they will behave reasonably ** Documentation ** - We should try hard to document everything in the DebConf manual, based on best practice from past DebConfs ** Subteams / Responsibilities ** - Where is local - global overlap - Connection to non local members ** Fundraising ** - Who is on the global fundraising team? ** Legal issues **
