* State of Rails => stretch will ship with rails 4.2, unless something extraordinary happens
* State of Gitlab => working on unstable, issues on upgrades, stabilizing
* State of Redmine => latest upstream release, issues on jessie
* State of Diaspora => more or less the same as gitlab AFAICT / people preparing Diaspora6
* State of open-build-service => Andrew Lee working on it. might ship in stretch

* General direction - package apps vs libs?
  >= 1000 packages maintained
  - not broken - keep

* Remove ruby-bdb?
