    (A)felix
    - there was ci, but there are a lot of build failiure, but mostly upstream
    - no human resource to report

delib
- interested in self governing organizations
- notice arch linux , arch wiki, very interesting

Nicolas
- (Q) no idea how arch works so well, never mt any developers
    (A)john
    - probably a lot of developers use it, so it works well even it has a small team
    - example gentoo wiki used to be big, and archwiki took over gentoo wiki

delib:
- (Q) is it a distro
    - (A)felix: yes, we provide tools
    - (A)john: do it yourself type, analogy: pro court basketball v. beginner court
    - (A)samuel: good for learning linux, and meanwhile having a working system
    - (A)felix: very much depends on upstream
    - (A)john: arch moves faster

samuel:
- (Q)do you have problems with upstream relying on old packages
    - (A) felix: yes, for example python3, converting everything from 2 to 3,
        - wrote some patches ourselves but use upstream mostly
    - (A) samuel: atom moved from aur to community, upstream got mad because it
        calls for a newer electron

delib: debian has a lot of sysadmins who are interested in diy,
- john that's debian's world
- felix arch has more software developers,
    - kernel dev use arch to check errors

samuel:
- (Q) build process?
    - (A)felix: 6 master keys, sign pgp keys
    - dont have build farm
    - build packages, put them back, and sign

john: fsf both use for their legal services
- debian and arch neighbors fsf foundation
- spi, software in public interests

Nicolas
- type of users,
- core users of debian are sysadmin, stability, lots of tests
- personally software developer, if it breaks, doesn't matter, solve it and move on
- try things
- debian stable provide stability, arch provide tinkering

samuel
- arch packaging policy, far more relaxed
- need improvement: stability

(Q) goals for the future:
- merging with arch linux arm? discussion about merging with each other
- arm has automate build system, follow arch script

samuel
- best way to contribute to archlinux
- lots of developer prefer email, there's a mailing list
- core and community

- demograhpics of arch dev? are there any brazillians?
    - yes

- myf: (Q) what if some core dev decide to leave etc.?
- felix (A) mailing list, post them before

- There are 30 core developers, contribute to core and extra,
- 40 trusted users, contribute to community

(Q) for felix, how did you start?
- join cjk and localization team
- trusted users need to be sponsored

samuel: hard to start on aur
- it is easier to contribute to already existing package
- (A) new version of aur there's a system of co-maintainers

What is your favourite aur helper???

beginner stuff is a bit dangerous
- people aren't thinking about what they install
- (A)recommend beginner to use manjaro, or other arch deviant
- there's also chakara
    - problem with those distro
     - arch dont have security team to fix these
     - security fix can be delayed
     - they also change default settings

testing repo
- gnome unstable
